Join us on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Chippawa Park Pond in Welland for food, fun and good old fashioned pond hockey.
This family event is open to anyone in the Welland community and is FREE to attend. Enjoy watching 'good old' Canadian Pond Hockey while sipping on hot chocolate and eating comfort food provided by local restaurants. Kids carnival games, Silent Auction, 50/50 and more!

Play Hockey
Bring your skates and play hockey on the pond at Chippawa Park. If the pond is not frozen, we will be playing ball hockey.

Kids 3on3 Tournament - Puck drops at 9:30 am
(ages 5-12) play FREE! Register on the day of at 9:00 am
Adults 3on3 Tournament - Puck drops at 12:30 pm
(ages 14+) $50 per player. To register make a $50 donation online towards the fundraising campaign. Print a copy of your donation receipt and bring it with you to the event. OR you can register on the day of the event, cash only!

Adult Hockey Registration Options
Option 1

To join as a team of 3 - 4 players, register your team with Kelly Jones via email kelly_jones_ca@yahoo.com

Reminder: this is a very recreational based tournament for charity
Option 2

You can register as an individual and be placed on a team of other individuals up until 10 am on the day of the event
Hockey Tournament Format
-
Each Team is guaranteed 3 games of ice hockey or ball hockey (weather depending)

Each Game is 10 minutes – Run Time (Championship is 15 minute Run Time)

Each Team is required to report their final score the scorers table directly after their game

Two points per win and one point for each for a tie
-
Tiebreakers are Points, Wins, Goal differential

Jerseys are provided if teams don’t have their own matching jerseys

If it is ice hockey, helmets are recommended ​

50/50 Draw Rules of Play
We will be holding a 50/50 draw at the event. Listed below are the rules of play.

Tickets will be sold for $2 each or 3 for $5

A maximum of 1,000 tickets will be sold

The winning ticket will be drawn at 2:30 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2024 and will be announced in the Chippawa Park community centre and by our DJ.

The winner MUST be present to collect the prize, and MUST provide a name, address and phone number to receive the prize.
